"busy hands are happy hands"
That's the quote that I live my life by. Why? Because I'm ALWAYS BUSY. I can't stress that enough. But that's what makes me happy.
I'm always working double time, late nights, early mornings, and long days.
My full-time job? Believe it or not, it's not this photography business (which is constantly on my mind). I am an Assistant Field office Manager of Grain Inspection for the State of Missouri.
I know, you're wondering what all that entails, but there is no time for that! Trust me! The most important part of this job is that it gives me the freedom to run the photography business.
Of course, grain and cameras are not what I'm thinking about all the time. I am blessed to live on a horse boarding facility just outside the small town of Parkville, MO, where my boyfriend, our 3 fur babies—Cooper, Roscoe, and Roxi—and I rent a small loft above the garage that overlooks the barn and pastures.
In addition, I get to help my father from time to time working on the cattle ranch that he manages, along with my sister and brother-in-law. Now that my sister and I are too old to show, we have to get our dose of cattle in somehow!
When I'm not working for fun, we are always on an adventure. Spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, kayaking, and gardening in the summer. Bonfires when the weather is right. Concerts, fairs, thrift shopping, crafting, finding new places to eat, watching football, yoga, shooting range, AND adventures to take more pictures, just because we can!
I'm known for my crazy busy schedule. My best friend loves to tell everyone how much of a workaholic I am. Quality time with friends and family is usually working on something or somewhere.
Oh, one more thing!
I also get the great opportunity to volunteer at the Kansas City Pet Project, taking pictures of the dogs that need new homes! When I volunteer, I post all the pictures on my Facebook page.
